Sales and Transport Terms

The passenger and baggage transport to be carried out by the carrier on this voyage between Ayvalik and Mytilene is subject to the maritime trade provisions of the Turkish Commercial Code, the rules set by the 1974 Athens Convention, and the terms stated below. These rules and conditions regulate and in many cases limit the carrier's liability.

General rules of the carrier companies apply to all reservations made via www.ugurjalelines.com.

Up to 1 day before the voyage, a reservation may be held open once, valid only until the last voyage of the season and on condition that the same persons travel. Reservations are personal, non-transferable, and non-refundable.

Child and infant ages and vehicle dimensions and type as declared during booking will be verified at check-in. Any price difference due to incorrect information will be collected from the buyer.

If the passenger is unable to travel due to issues on their side (passport validity, visa, customs fine, vehicle power of attorney or insurance issues, etc.), no refund or open-return is granted.

Passengers must complete check-in at the Ugur Jale Lines ferry agency at least 30 (thirty) minutes before the scheduled departure. Tickets of passengers who fail to check in within the stated time will be cancelled without further notice.

Passengers must be at the check-in offices of Ayvalik Port 60 minutes before the departure time stated in the reservation. The company is not responsible for issues arising otherwise.

No refund is given if the ship is missed. Purchased tickets are not numbered; passengers may sit in any available seat of their choice.

Items hazardous to human health (flammable, explosive, sharp, etc.) may not be carried on the passenger, in their luggage or vehicle. The company cannot be held liable for damages arising in such cases.

You must carry all documents for your microchipped pet (ID card, vaccination pages, titration test certificate, and the export certificate signed by an authorised veterinarian from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock).

In cases such as strikes, bad weather or ferry breakdown on either the Turkish or Greek side, the carrier reserves the right to cancel the voyage or postpone it to another day and time.

Passengers whose pregnancy exceeds 6 months must present a medical report from their doctor stating that they are fit to travel. Otherwise, the company cannot be held liable for any adverse consequences.

To be transported, passengers must comply with the applicable regulations. Turkish passports bearing a Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus stamp cannot be used to enter Greece.

All customers who make online reservations through our company are deemed to have accepted the above terms. In case of dispute, the Courts of Ayvalik shall have jurisdiction.
